MAKE ALE FOR THE ARTS

Home Brew Competition

Thanks to all the home brewers and BJCP judges who participated in this year’s, first-ever BJCP/AHA-sanctioned Make Ale for the Arts Homebrew Competition. Some amazing local brews were judged by panels of experienced judges at Icicle Creek Center for the Arts’ Snowy Owl Theater on Friday, April 12, 2019.

SPECIAL THANKS: To Collin Christianson of Icicle Brewing Co. for taking the reins as Head Steward for the event; to ProfessorCole Provence of the CWU Craft Brewing program for not only serving as a judge, but for bringing his students – Alex Shores, Michael Riley, Trevor Bates, Jim Robertson and Chase Bjerke – to help out as stewards; and last, but not least, to our esteemed judges Randy Scorby (Grand Master IV); Ted Hausotter (Grand Master IV); Steve Antoch (Grand Master II); Jeff “Oz” Harvey (Certified); and David Hiatt (Certified).
